After the dance with Enoch, Rina and the other party members get together with the mayor and Neely to discuss the deal for the forest that the sprite lite coven wants. Pontain and Rizvik also join the conversation, both pulling the Mayor in different directions on making the deal at all. Rizvik explains all of the benefits, Pontain does not like the idea.
There’s a monster there that they want taken care of, or at least they want protection from the monster. There’s also an old mill that needs to be rebuilt.
We agree to 6 tons of the raw iron to the city as soon as possible which will come from the land, then another 6 tons over the next year, 35% discount. Then the Sprite lites can have the land.
Pontain asks everyone in the party what their place is in the city. He now knows Rina’s power isn’t her own. He also said we should come to more gatherings.
Rizvik seems to have a magical string to the Mayor’s ear. They say we owe them a favor in the future since they helped us make the deal with the mayor.
Rina asked the man who Enoch scared off if he knew who Enoch was. The man said he just felt like he would die if he tried to dance with her.
We spoke to the Salt Slayers again and Alejandro was fighting with someone he called his sister. She is a halfling in a different party. Rina stepped between them to stop their fighting, but realized they were more play fighting.
Ciskay was asking everyone at the party if they’ve seen a dragon, she told Rina that she thought she had seen a Dragon woman in a pub in Cofamoso. She believes this was a dragon that has evolved to look human. Dragon boobies?
We get the land contract and then we go rest at the inn.
Same day, we went to a blacksmith who told us that theres a good blacksmith in Penneslovica who can make magic equipment. he mentions that Rina is “brave” for not covering her pointy ears. We then leave for the Sprite Lite coven. We get there at evening.
As we left for mistbrook we see the Salt Slayers leaving toward the devil mission. Rina warns them to be careful around devils, but Alejandro says not all devils are that bad. He removes his disguise to reveal he is a Tiefling. He says his dad is also a Devil, who is also not too bad. He then calls Rina an “Elf Bitch.” maybe in a fun way, maybe not as much.
The Mistbook townspeople were standing in a mob facing the people of the Sprite Lite coven. A man had disappeared and they blamed the witches. Rina ran up in between them to try to defend the coven.
There’s a sound of a tree falling in the woods nearby and large footsteps. Rina warned everyone to go, and many townspeople did.
A Basilisk (large chicken/snake creature) entered the clearing and killed a few of the witches.
We began to fight it. Both Rina and Areuleus were hurt to the point of saving throws. We got some damage on it but Valentine (leader of the coven) stopped us from killing it. Kin got them up, then Rina polymorphed it into a silkie bantam chicken and gave it to Valentine to deal with. It was one of the fey.
